Most Successful South Asian Music Artist of the year Rahat Fateh Ali Khan
London: Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan won big at the Asian Music Awards this year.
Pakistani legend Rahat Fateh Ali Khan took home three awards for Best Selling Download, Best International Act and Best International Act of the Decade.
The Lebara Mobile Asian Music Awards took place on Thursday 25th October in Wembley Arena, London and with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan as the headline act the 10th Asian Music Awards were bigger than ever.
The Lebara Mobile Asian Music Awards (AMA) is delighted to announce an exclusive headline performance from award-winning Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan at its 10th anniversary event, which takes place at Wembley Arena on Thursday, 25 October. The AMAs will mark this landmark occasion with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan performing his most best loved hits in an exclusive opening and closing show.
One of the most successful South Asian music artists of the year, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s appearance at the awards will be his only live performance in the capital in 2012. Fans will be able to watch the star perform his array of hits such as “Tere Mast Mast Do Nain,” “Tere Bina” and the unforgettable “Teri Meri”.
The star, who was trained in the art of classical music by his uncle, the legendary Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, will showcase his Bollywood hits as well as revisiting his Qawwali roots in a special performance with his full live band.
